For once, I don't care if people trip over themselves at the mall. I'm done with my shopping for the year. I bought so much stuff overseas and they're so much nicer and better quality than the cut-throat stuff we get here. So you won't find me jostling with the festive crowd for that exorbitantly priced piece of ... (trying to find a nice word for it).

What CNY?
Of course I had no idea CNY is coming up so close. I just got home from my long vacation and I'm still very disoriented. Not that I could've cared less about CNY. It's not that important.
I don't have to go back to any hometown. I'm not expecting any visitors not do I have anyone to visit. I don't do the superstitious "red" routine so there's no ornaments or rules to obey. I don't like CNY cookies and I certainly am not going to go out of my way to bake any. They're fattening anyways LOL.
So what is there to do but sit back and wait for the holidays? Isn't life sweet?

Starting to get vain
Over the holidays, I had such a blast shopping for makeup and cosmetics. My daughter is now at an age when she's starting to get vain and wants to look pretty. Girls!
And these days, there are so many beauty products out there that I'd have to take up a course at the Regency Beauty Institute to learn the art of applying makeup to achieve different results. Might be interesting though.
Till then, my daughter will have to pick up some pointers here and there from magazines, the internet and her friends. I think that's how most of us learn anyhow.

Paradise but not close enough!
And being away has been great. Best thing ever. No dog-eat-dog drivers. No sh*tty customer service. No crappy crowds. Can we get any closer to paradise?

Away!
I know it's been pretty quiet around here. That's because I've gone on a long, well-deserved holiday. The longer the better but sadly, all good things must come to an end!
