Tis the jolly season when we should give more than we receive. How true! Yet funny how sad that makes our wallets. Obviously more money is going out the door than is coming in. And we mustn't appear to be stingy now and buy cheap gifts.
There's the house to be spruced up so family and friends won't see how our house is always topsy-turvy. We must keep up appearances now when the guests come pouring in, eh!
Heck, if only we could afford id, we'd buy gold coins to distribute to everyone who walks in our front door. Er, but how can we do that when the price of everything has just gone up before our very eyes!

Tis the season to be jolly, or not

Mickey, here we come!
My kids tell me all their friends are headed to Hong Kong this school holiday. There's lots of cheap travel packages around so everyone's jumping on the wagon. Can you imagine 2 for the price of 3 with hotel and Disneyland tickets included?
I remember when Hong Kong Disneyland first opened, a mommy friend was suggesting our 2 families go together. But then I read about the possible crowd control problem at Hong Kong Disneyland and decided against going.
Obviously these guys have little experience handling crowds, what more with the lovely mentality of the Asian crowd cutting queues and shoving and pushing. Well, I'd rather not be caught in the midst of that madness, thanks. Neither would I want to hear Mickey and Minnie speak Cantonese. It just wouldn't be authentic!
Besides my 2 older kids have been to Disneyland Anaheim when they were toddlers. Anyhow we decided to go this year. So Disneyland Anaheim, here we come!!! Wheeee!
