In my blog hops, I'm still seeing posts about making NY resolutions. There's this mommy who says that after all that holiday binging, she's going to force herself to exercise for a half-hour daily to lose the weight she's gained. This statement sorta gets boring after you read it 200 times.
And yet this woman is so self-righteous she's always going on about how she plans to set everything right and do everything right and get her kids to be this and that. She had a whole, long to-do list for the holidays to set everything right with her poor kids. Like making them practise and revise for next year because they're not this or that enough. The poor kids are only in kindy and Grade 2, mind you!
From what she says, it seems like they've just GOT to get everything right. Right as in her way, the perfect way! Like she must get the perfect gifts ready to give to someone. Like she must learn Chinese so she can guide her children. Like she must exercise or she'll beat herself up. Like she must be a good wife and good mother and good blogger, duh! I don't know but she gives me the impression she tries too hard to be perfect!
And we know, nobody's perfect!
