Well, like it or not, it looks like H1N1 has reached our shores. I guess it's a matter of time. There's probably many more cases than reported. I mean, who knows who's got it but don't know it yet. All it takes is one sneeze, one handshake. The fact that the weather is so hot and humid makes it a haven for germs, if I remember my science right.
Sigh, I guess life goes on. We can only keep washing our hands and trying to stay away from people with flu. But you know what, some folks are just so rude and uninformed they have no qualms about sneezing into other people's faces, or just letting it all out without covering their noses/mouths even.

tea party
Over the past week, we've had a slew of relatives visit from out of town. Happy days! At least the kids got to meet their cousins whom they don't see very often. Man, kids grow up fast these days and it's good they get to meet up and catch up and exchange email addresses so they can at least be in touch online.
We had a little tea party one day and it was just crazy. One of my uncles was going on about gold investing and it drove the poor kids to boredom. Slowly one by one, they started to leave the table and gather outside in the living room. Kids! At least if they'd stay and listen, they could learn something.

excuses, excuses
It's been a busy month, that's all I can say. On the days when I have plenty to blog about, I'm super busy so I say to myself, I'll blog about this tomorrow. But somehow when tomorrow comes, there's so much more activity and it all starts to pile up before I even had a chance to write a single word. Well, things are slowing down a little... thank goodness. But now that I have all the time in the world to blog, it's almost overwhelming so I'm just going to let them go, hahaha.

hypocrite
My uncle is such a hypocrite he really makes me laugh. I think he thinks we're all fools and can't see beyond his miserably poor act, bwahaha. Most times, he thinks he's above us because he lives in a big house and has no worries so he never bothers with us.
Yep, even a 2-year-old kid can tell you his tricks by now. He just makes use of people all the time. When he has no use for you, he'll kick you aside. Earlier this year, he invited everyone but us to his CNY reunion dinner at the big house. No big loss, we don't want to mingle with hypocrites anyways. Now suddenly he calls my husband and asks him to do this and that!!
So what else is new, huh? Small wonder he was fired from his job as managing director of a major company.
