Time sure flies. It's been almost a month now and still the drilling and hammering next door goes on daily, waking us up early during the weekends and school break, and making sure no one dares fall asleep in the afternoons.
I think I've sorta gotten accustomed to the noise and sometimes I don't even hear it any more. Otherwise I just turn up my music when I'm working online and that way I don't hear a thing. I wonder when, if ever, they're going to be done!

cool breeze and sweat pores
The weather is starting out incredibly nice today. There's a very cool breeze blowing through the house and it's very refreshing. Why don't we have beautiful weather like this more often? It's always good news if I don't see the sun. You know what it's like rushing in and out on my taxi runs in the hot sun?
I usually have the fan on 24 hours a day when I'm at home. But today, I haven't even needed to turn on the fan at all except for drying my hair. I know most folks air-condition their entire home these days, not us. I prefer to sweat it out a little rather than block the sweat pores and waste energy.

hammering and drilling
My neighbor has moved out and the new people are remodeling the house. Good luck to us if we want to sleep in on the weekend because the hammering and drilling start bright and early, and there's no letting up till late in the evening.
I wonder how long it's going to go on for. From what I can see, the renovation works look major so I'm guessing this could go on for a good few weeks! Poor us. The weekends are the only time we don't have to be up at the crack of dawn, duh!

learn about precious metal investing
No matter what time of day I go to the bank, it's always crowded. That's why the bank is not my favorite place. I just want to get in and out in the shortest time possible. But that's not always possible so I watch people and read flyers.
I also tune in to their queries if I happen to be sitting near the information desk. Lately I seem to be hearing more questions about investing in precious metals. From the types of questions people are asking, I can only imagine precious metals is a fairly new thing to many.
It's probably not something ordinary folks invest in, but now they have to consider it because of how low interest rates have dropped. Instead of going to the bank, you can also check out Monex Deposit Company online for more information.

friends? not !
When I'm in a bad mood, people just seem to get on my nerves even more. I asked my daughter's mother to help me pick up my kids after school and she said she couldn't because she's just found a job.
I know for a fact that her husband picks up her kids so I was hoping she would be kind enough to ask her husband to help out. After all, he's been unemployed for years and is so free I see him waiting outside the school every day.
Strangely since the day I asked her for help, I notice her husband hasn't been picking up their kids any more. Trying to hide from me in case I waylay him and ask him for help? The extent some people would go to. I guess these are not folks you want to be friends with.
When she couldn't find the right size for her son's uniform, I offered her my son's brand new pair and she refused. When I brought cakes to her house, she gave them back to me and asked me to take them back. Go figure!

empty promises
I'm not in the best of moods. Can you blame me? I've been dealing with a couple of jerks this past week and it's left me in a foul mood. I hate people who make empty promises. At least if they tell me up front that they're not sure if they can keep that promise, I would excuse them.
But making everything out to sound like a concrete promise but failing to deliver just doesn't cut it. Not to mention that I've been running around like an idiot based on those false hopes. I'm sick and tired of people like that and I hope they get what's coming to them.
