the sun wins

There's a semi-cool breeze blowing in from the window. It's not very often that the breeze is still cool at almost noon time. It's been so crazy hot that I've been resorting to keeping my windows shut for most of the day.

I dread going out in the sun because it singes your skin. Sometimes I swear I can hear my skin sizzle! The rains haven't been much help. They're piddly compared to the ferocity of the sun. I feel sorry for those people who have to work outdoors and be out in the sun all day.
